The Mystery of the 7 Stars and
the 7 Menorahs
By M. Eichhorst
“The mystery of these seven stars which you saw in my right hand,
and the seven menorahs of gold. Those seven stars are the Messengers
of the seven assemblies; and the seven menorahs are the seven assemblies.”
Revelation 1:20
HaHitgallut of Yehoshua HaMashiach
(The Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah)
Yochanan (John) was born in Bethsaida, Galilee in 6 C.E. which Bethsaida is located near the
northern banks of the Sea of Galilee, about 11 miles from the city of Magdala, and about 32
miles from Nazareth, Galilee (Israel). Bethsaida today is located in the Golan Heights of Israel.
John became a talmid (disciple) of John the Immerser and was a talmid (disciple) of Rabbi
Yeshua. John was born Jewish and was known as John of Zewdi (Zebedee).
The vision he saw occurred between 81 C.E. to 96 C.E. when the Roman Emperor Domitianus
imprisoned him on the prison island of Patmos, Greece. He remained there until the death of
the Emperor in 96 C.E. where John went to Ephesus, Anatolia (Turkey) however, John did not
write what he saw in the vision until he arrived in Ephesus in 96 C.E. and before his death in
100 C.E. John was part of the building of the Synagogue in Ephesus.
Revelation 1
1. The Revelation of Yeshua the Mashiach, which El Shaddai gave to him to show to his
servants the things that must shortly occur: and he signified it by sending, through his
Messenger Angel to his servant Yochanan (John).
2. who bore witness to the Word of El Shaddai, and to the testimony of Yeshua the Mashiach,
as to all that he saw.
3. Blessed is he that reads, and they who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things
that are written in it; for the time is near.
4. From Yochanan to the seven assemblies which are in Asia (Anatolia): Grace to you and
peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, from the seven Spirits which are
before his throne.
John is referring to “the seven assemblies which are in Asia” which refers to the Roman name
of the country which was known as the ancient name of “Anatolia”. When the Roman Empire
conquered Anatolia, the Roman Empire called it “Asia” and by the time of John he already
knew it was called Asia by the Romans which is why he referred to it that way. Historians
changed the name of “Asia” to “Asia Minor” so not to be confused with the Asian Continents.
The ancient name of Anatolia is the real name for Turkey during the time of the Messiah and
his disciples. Today it is called “Turkey”.
5. and from Yeshua the Mashiach, the Witness, the Faithful, the First-born of the dead, and the
Prince of the kings of the earth; who has loved us, and released us from our sins by his blood;
6. and has made us a Kingdom of priests to El Shaddai the Father: to whom be glory and
power, for ever and ever. Amen.
7. Behold, he comes with clouds; and all eyes will see him, and also, they who pierced him;
and all the tribes of the earth will mourn on account of him. Yes: Amen.
8. “I am Alef and Tav,” (The First and the Last) says the Master YHVH, El Shaddai; who is, and
was, and is to come, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh (I Am that I Am) the omnipotent.
9. I Yochanan, your brother and partaker with you in the affliction and suffering that are in
Yeshua the Mashiach, was in the island called Patmos because of the Word of El Shaddai and
because of the testimony of Yeshua the Mashiach.
Many have this part of the scriptures wrong saying that John was taken up into heaven. This is
wrong as the truth is that “On the Day of the Lord” which means “the Sabbath” which is from
6:00pm to 5:59pm 24 hours later which begins on Friday night which is actually Saturday and
until when the day changes to Sunday. Sunday is not the Sabbath Day, Saturday is. This is
according to the Hebrew Calendar and the Bible which is Holy and Biblical.
“I was in the Spirit on the day of our Master YHVH” which means that John of Zebedee was on
the Prison Island of Patmos, Greece of the Roman Empire on the Sabbath Day when he was
in the Spirit of El Shaddai which is also known as Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) another
name for God the Father. John did not go into Heaven but rather was in the Spirit of Ruach
HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) of El Shaddai (God Almighty). This was “a vision” and not a
transformation into heaven. This is not, in the Spirit of Yeshua but rather the Spirit of God the
father.
10. I was in the Spirit on the day of our Master YHVH; and I heard behind me a great voice, as
of a shofar, which said:
11. “That which you see, write in a book, and send to the seven assemblies; to Ephesus, and
to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyratira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to
Laodicea.”
The shofar is not a musical instrument called a trumpet, but a shofar is a musical instrument
from a rams horn which has a very distinctive sound when blown. It cannot be confused with
the trumpet.
The Seven Assemblies applies to the Seven Jewish Synagogues not Christian Churches and
are located in Turkey. These Synagogues were built after John left the Island of Patmos in 96
C.E. and was completed before John’s death in 100 C.E. John was part of the building of the
Synagogue in Ephesus, Anatolia where he lived after leaving Patmos, Greece.
12. And I turned myself to look at the voice that talked with me; and when I had turned, I saw
seven menorahs of gold;
13. and, in the midst of the menorahs, one like the Son of man, clothed to the feet, and turned
about in a robe reaching to his feet with a girdle of gold.
14. And his head and his hair were white, like white wool, like snow; and his eyes, like a flame
of fire:
15. and his feet were like fine brass, flaming in a furnace: and his voice, like the sound of many
waters.
16. And he had in his right hand seven stars; and from his mouth issued a fervent spirit; and
his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
17. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet like one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, and
said, “Fear not: I am the First and the Last;
“I am the First and the Last” gives reference to the Alef and Tav. This is the first and the last
letters of the Hebrew alphabet and refers to; the first and the last, the beginning and the end
and gives reference to El Shaddai the father.
18. and who lives and was dead; and behold, I am alive for ever and ever. Amen. And I have
the keys of death and of the unseen world.
19. Therefore, write what you have seen, and the things that are; and the things that are to be
after this:
20. the mystery of these seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven menorahs
of gold. Those seven stars are the Messengers of the seven assemblies; and the seven
menorahs are the seven assemblies.”
The Significance to the Number 7
The Number 7 is a number for perfection of the Realm of El Shaddai (God Almighty, the
father), and His Mashiach (Messiah) in Heaven and on the Earth. Everything that is of God is
placed into perfection of El Shaddai. God has placed His Mashiach (Messiah) in charge of all
of El Shaddai’s Creation as described in Ephesians 4.
“The mystery of these seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven menorahs of
gold”. The 7 stars are the 7 Messenger Angels of El Shaddai [pictured below as the star of
David” and the 7 Menorahs of God is the Assembly Synagogues which gives rise to the
“people” or the “members” of the Assembly Congregations.
The 7 Assembly Synagogues
Revelation 1:20. the mystery of these seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the
seven menorahs of gold. Those seven stars are the Messenger Angels of the seven
assemblies; and the seven menorahs are the seven assemblies (Synagogues).
Each Star of David above each Menorah represents the Messenger Angel of each Synagogue,
and each Menorah of Gold represents each assembly Synagogue. Ephesus, Smyrna,
Pergamos, Thyratira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.
Revelation 2
The Synagogue at Ephesus
1. “To the Messenger Angel of the assembly which is at Ephesus write: ‘These things says he
who holds all things, and the seven stars in his right hand; he that walks in the midst of the
seven menorahs of gold:
2. I know your works and your toil and your patience, and you cannot endure the wicked; and
you have tried them who say they are Talmidim (Disciples) and are not; and you have found
them liars.
3. And you have had patience and have shouldered the burden on account of My Name and
have not shirked.
4. Yet I have a matter against you on account of your former love which you have left.
5. Therefore, remember from where you have fallen and repent, and do the former works: or if
not, I will come to you quickly, and I will remove your menorah from its place, except you
repent.
6. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who is
victorious, will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the paradise of my El Shaddai.
The Synagogue at Smyrna
8. And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly, which is at Smyrna, write: ‘These things says
the First and the Last, he who was dead and lives.
9. I know your works and the affliction and the poverty (yet you are rich) and the railing which is
from them who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are of the congregation of hasa’tan
(the satan).
10. Be not terrified at any of the things you are to suffer. For lo, the Accuser will throw some of
you into custody, that you may be tried; and there will be trouble to you ten days. Be faithful to
death, and I will give you the crown of life.
11. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He that is victorious,
will not be harmed by the second death.’
The Synagogue at Pergamos
12. And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly at Pergamos, write: ‘Thus says he who has
the sharp two-edged sword:
13. I know your works and where you dwell (even) where the throne of hasa’tan is: and you
hold fast my name and have not denied the faith of me, in those days when my faithful witness,
who was slain among you, was made a spectacle where hasa’tan dwells.
14. But I have a small matter against you. You have their them who hold the doctrine of
Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel that they
might eat the sacrifices of idols and might commit sexual sin.
15. So also you have them who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. In like manner, repent you.
16. Or if not, I will come to you quickly, and I will war upon them with the sword of my mouth.
17. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him that is
victorious, will I give to eat of the hidden manna; and I will give him a white counter, and upon
the counter a new name written which no one knows but he that receives it.
The Synagogue at Thyratira
18. And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly at Thyatira, write: ‘These things says the Son
of El Shaddai who has his eyes like a flame of fire and his feet like fine brass:
19. I know your works, and love, and faith, and service, and also your patience; and that these
your latter works are more than the former.
20. But I have a matter against you because you tolerate your woman Jezabel who says she is
a prophetess, and teaches and seduces my servants to temple prostitution, and to eating of
the sacrifices of idols.
21. And I gave her a season for repentance, and she is not disposed to repent of her sexual
sin.
22. Behold, I will cast her into a coffin, and them who commit adultery with her into great
affliction, unless they repent of their deeds.
23. And her children will I slay with death: and all the assemblies will know that I am he who
seeks minds and hearts; and I will render to each of you according to your works.
24. And I say to you, to the rest that are in Thyatira, to all them who have not received this
doctrine, the men who have not known the profound things of hasa’tan, as they say; I lay no
other burden upon you: 25. but, what you have, hold fast until I come.
26. And to him that is victorious, and to him that observes my works to the end, to him will I
give authority over the nations;
27. and he will rule them with a rod of iron; and like vessels of pottery, will they be broken: as I
also have received of my Father.
28. And I will give him the morning star.
29. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
Revelation 3
The Synagogue at Sardis
1. “And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly, which is at Sardis, write: ‘These things says
he who has the seven Spirits of El Shaddai, and the seven stars: I know your works, that you
have a name that you live, and yet you are dead.
2. Awake and preserve the things that remain which are ready to die; for I have not found your
works complete before my El Shaddai.
3. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; and observe those teachings and
turn back. If then you will not wake up, I will come upon you as a thief; and you will not know at
what hour I will come upon you.
4. Yet you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they will walk
with me in white, for they are worthy.
5. He that is victorious will be so clothed in white robes; and I will not blot out their name from
the book of life; and I will confess their name before my Father and before his Messenger
Angels.
6. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
The Synagogue at Philadelphia
7. And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly, which is at Philadelphia, write: ‘These things
says he that is Set Apart, he that is true, he that has the key of David, who opens and no man
shuts, and shuts and no man opens;
8. I know your works. And lo, I have set before you an open door which no man can shut:
because you have a little strength, and you have kept my Word and have not denied My
Name.
9. Behold, I will give them of the Knesset (assemble) of hasa’tan, who say they are Jews, and
are not, but lie; behold, I will make them to come and do submissions before your feet; and to
know that I have loved you.
10. Because you have kept the Word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of
temptation that is to come on all the inhabited world to try them who dwell on the earth.
11. I come quickly: hold fast what you have so that no one take your crown.
12. Him that is victorious, will I make a pillar in the temple of my El Shaddai; and he will not
again go out: and I will write upon him the name of my El Shaddai, and of the new Urishlim
(New Jerusalem) which descends from heaven from my El Shaddai, and my own new name.
13. He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
The Synagogue at Laodicea
14. And to the Messenger Angel of the assembly, which is at Laodicea, write: ‘These things
says the Amen, the witness, the faithful, the true, the Chief of the creation of El Shaddai:
15. I know your works, that you are neither hot, nor cold; I would desire that you would be
either cold or hot.
16. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit you from my
mouth.
17. Because you say, I am rich and affluent, and have all I need; and you don’t know that you
are helpless and miserable and needy and blind and naked!
18. I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may become rich; and white robes,
to be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be seen; and put eye-salve on
your eyes, that you may see.
19. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. Be faithful emulators therefore, and repent.
20. Behold, I have been standing at the door, and I will knock: if any man hear my voice and
open the door, I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with me.
21. And to him that is victorious, to him will I give to sit with me on my throne, even as I was
victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
22. He that has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
The Number of Perfection in El Shaddai’s realm
Genesis 2:2. By the seventh day El Shaddai (God Almighty) completed his work which He had
done, and He abstained (rested) on the seventh day from all His work which he had done.
7 is the number of perfections of God’s Bible and is used 735 times.
7 Branch Menorah
7 Stars
7 Messenger Angels
7 Menorahs
7 Assemble Synagogues
7 Days of the Week
7 Seals
7 Shofars
7 Plagues
7 Bowls
7 Elements to the Armor of God
etc.
The 7 Branches of the Menorah
3 branches on each side of the 1 middle branch of the Messiah. Each branch represents 2
tribes of Judah on each of the 3 branches (2x6=12) which is the 12 tribes of Judah. The middle
branch (candle) is called the "Shamash” which means “Servant” and represents HaMashiach
(the Messiah) (Exodus 25:31-40).
Exodus 25:31. You shall make a Menorah of pure gold, hammered out shall the Menorah be
made, Its base, its shaft, its cups, its knobs, and its blossoms shall be hammered from it.
Set Apart Believers of Yeshua should have a 7 branch Menorah in their Homes, Temples,
Synagogues and Churches during the Hanukkah Celebration as the first candle lit is the middle
candle and represents the "conception of Maryam with the Messiah" by Ruach HaKodesh (The
Holy Spirit) and should light all of its candles after the middle candle then light the rest from
right to left during Hanukkah as the light of the world.
The 7 branch Menorah is "for perfection" is called the "Temple Menorah" to be lit "all days" "all
candles" from dusk to dawn as the Messiah is the light of the world.
The 9 branch Menorah is "not for perfection" but you can use it if you would like, the Jews do
for each day of the Holidays specifically for Hanukkah. If you do want to use it contact me for
instructions on how to use it properly.
The 7 branch Menorah should be used for;
(1) “Hanukkah” is for 8 days beginning on the evening of the 24th day of the month of Kislev
after 6:00pm when the day changes to the 25th. The conception day is the first candle lit.
(2) "Conception Day" which is “the conception of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit)” unto
Maryam on the 25th day of the month of Kislev.
(3) “Passover” is for 8 days beginning on the evening of the 14th day of the month of Nissan
after 6:00pm when the day changes to the 15th.
(4) “the Passover Feast” which is "the Last Supper" on the 15th day of the month of Nissan.
(5) “the Crucifixion Day” on the 16th day of the month of Nissan. (The Crucifixion Day is the
evening of the 15th day of the month of Nissan after 6:00pm when the day changes to the
16th).
(6) “the Resurrection Day” on the 19th day of the month of Nissan. (The Resurrection Day
begins in the evening of Saturday at the conclusion of the Sabbath when the day changes at
6:00pm to Sunday. The exact time the resurrection occurred is at night after 6:00pm).
(7) “Sukkot” is for 8 days beginning on the evening of the 14th day of the month of Tishri after
6:00pm when the day changes to the 15th.
(8) “the Birthday of the Messiah” which corresponds with “the Sukkot” on the 15th day of the
month of Tishri.
The Hebrew Day begins in the evening at 6:00pm and not at midnight as the Roman-Greek
Calendar day does. The Hebrew Calendar and Days is El Shaddai’s Calendar and Days.
Things to Remember
(1) the days, months, and time is of El Shaddai, and He is not out of the realm of time and
space, He is time and space which means God’s Calendar is the Hebrew Calendars, and to
think it is different than the Hebrew Calendar is ludicrous in thought. God’s Calendar is the
Hebrew Calendars.
(2) the Roman-Greek Calendar is not ever mentioned in the Bible, so, when studying the Bible,
you must use the Hebrew Calendar and the Eternal Torah Calendar which is the Calendars
which appears in the Torah, the first 5 books of Moshe (Moses).
(3) that "all Christian Bibles" have misinterpretations and wrong things in it, in places, so do not
use them. There are at least eighteen places of misinterpretation and “added to” and “taken
away from” in the New Testament and many more in the Old Testament by the Religious
Roman Empire in violation of the Commandments and Revelation 22:18-19. Revelation 22:18-
19 was written by Yochanan (John) of Zewdi (Zebedee) before his death in 100 C.E. Anything
which appears afterwards is a violation. Some things that are a violation are John 8:1-11 and
First John 5:7 which do not appear in the original manuscripts.
This is why I use the Hebrew Bible (the Tanach, the Brit Chadashah). I also use other Hebrew
texts not in the Bible.
